Captain Izaak King isn't just another charter captain – he's a second-generation waterman with the Florida Keys literally running through his veins. Raised in Marathon, Izaak grew up on the water and earned his Master Captain's license at just 19 years old.
The Early Years
Growing up in a fishing family, Izaak was on the water before he could walk. His father, a respected local captain, taught him not just how to fish, but how to read the water, understand the weather, and most importantly, how to put his customers on fish. "I learned from watching my dad that being a charter captain isn't just about fishing," Izaak says. "It's about creating memories and making sure everyone has an incredible time on the water."
10+ Years of Full-Time Experience
For over a decade, Izaak has been running charters full-time in the Florida Keys. This isn't a part-time gig or weekend hobby – it's his passion and his livelihood. Day in and day out, he's on the water studying fish patterns, finding new spots, and perfecting his craft. This dedication shows in his results and the loyalty of his customers.
Master Captain's License
Earned his Master Captain's license at age 19, one of the youngest ever in the Keys. This license allows him to operate vessels up to 50 tons and demonstrates his commitment to safety and professionalism.
Local Knowledge
Raised in Marathon, Izaak knows every reef, wreck, and secret spot. This local knowledge, passed down through generations, is what sets him apart from captains who learned these waters as adults.

What a fantastic trip with Captain Izaak! He took us out to the reef and every time we threw in a line we caught something--quickly! Yellowtails, mutton snapper, cero, and a grouper (not in season so we threw it back). He's extremely helpful with tips for those new to fishing, safety conscious, and a whole lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Went on a fishing trip with Captain Izaak with a group and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip to the Keys. Izaak is incredible at what he does. Not only is he an expert fisherman, but he is also so knowledgeable about the Keys, and incredibly friendly. My crew were all newbies when it comes to fishing but he was a great teacher, and each one of us caught multiple yellowtail snapper. The fish were abundant! I would book this trip with Izaak every time I am in the Keys, no question!

We had a half day scheduled for four people. The owner of the business called us and gave us warning of potential strong winds and large swells on the day we were scheduled to go. While we were very excited to go fishing, we headed the warning and canceled the trip. The owner didn’t have to do that. He could have taken us out to have bad weather and potential for crappy fishing and a low probability of catching anything just to get paid!! He didn’t!!! I can’t begin to explain how much this young man has impressed me!! I fully support this man’s business and implore guests to utilize this honorable man. He is most certainly not in it for just the money!! He was truly genuine and I will use him on my next trip and tell others to as well!! Thank you Captain for putting guests as your top priority!!
